Kwesé TV – Africa’s newest pay-TV network – has secured exclusive African broadcast rights to REVOLT TV.  REVOLT is a multi-platform network owned by rapper, producer and business mogul, Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs.  Kwesé is REVOLT’s first international distribution partner.

Combs expressed excitement at the deal: ‘To launch in Africa is a huge honour…this deal illustrates the true impact REVOLT has on the culture here at home and abroad.’ REVOLT offers breaking music news, artist interviews, exclusive performances and original programming to African audiences, exclusive to Kwesé (Ch 605).

‘Having REVOLT as part of our premium entertainment offering is a significant feat. We’re excited to be the broadcaster bringing this channel to Africa,’ enthused Joseph Hundah, CEO of Econet Media. ‘We are gearing up to be the home of world-class and exclusive programming for the continent. Kwesé is dynamic, innovative and fresh and our channel mix reflects this.’

Like other channels on the Kwesé bouquet, REVOLT will be available on the continent through a multi-platform offering including linear TV, mobile app, and web and streaming services.

Shows to look out for on REVOLT include: The Breakfast Club, with news from the world of music; REVOLT Sessions, where famous artists and undiscovered talent showcase their music in an intimate setting; REVOLT Music Conference, featuring a unique line-up of music experts and performers who help viewers navigate the music business. And, this month viewers will be treated to the 5th annual Global Spin Awards, which recognizes top DJs from around the world, and #BlackExcellence – a celebration of Black History Month.
