The incredible Jackie Chan stars in Chinese Zodiac (Kwesé Movies 2), in which he leads a team of mercenaries to recover priceless Chinese artefacts looted by foreigners. Here are ten things you probably didn’t know about the legendary kung fu comedy king.

1. Jackie Chan holds two Guinness World Records: one for most credits in a movie (Chinese Zodiac which he directed, produced, starred in, wrote, and did music for); and another for most stunts by a living actor.

2. The Pokémon character ‘Hitmonchan’ is named after him.

3. He turned down the part of King in the 2002 Chinese film Hero (catch Hero on Kwesé Movies 2

4. He is an avid football fan and supporter of Manchester City (catch English Premier League action on Kwesé Free Sports).

5. In 2006 Forbes ranked him as one of their Top Ten Most Generous Celebrities for 2006.

6. While filming Rush Hour 2 a fan punched him, thinking Chan would block the blow.

7. He regrets not having received a good education, saying: “Don’t try to be like Jackie. There is only one Jackie… Study computers instead.”

8. He hates violence and has only ever been in one real fight. “…the world is too violent right now. It’s a dilemma – I like action but I don’t like violence.”

9. He claims that the hardest thing about acting is not the stunts, which he does himself, but speaking English.

10. His most painful injury came in 1973 when Bruce Lee hit him in the face with a set of chainsticks.
